Рамич, пусть и родился в Нидерландах, детство все же провел не только там, успев пожить в таких странах как Ливия, Германия и Словакия. So it has come to this. In 2001 I first flew to Zagreb to have my eyes and ears opened to what would become one of my most regular gigs in a foreign land. It was a warm May weekend, the music was exciting and new to the 1300 or so people dancing to it, a mix of classic Jazz Fusion, House and Broken Beat. It was situated in the most beautiful lakeside setting I had ever played a set in, with some of the warmest, friendliest people I have ever met. I had found a new spiritual home. So many years and many trips later I realized I had also found a great friend in Eddy Ramich. Sometimes we see each other so regularly we simply give each other a simple ‘hi’ instead of a big hug or extended hello. It has just been so many gigs, so many happy times, warm ups, rewinds, last tunes, inspirations and elevations that I feel I have grown as a DJ and a man through playing in Kontrapunkt at Aquarius. The various teams behind the crew over the years have single handedly bought soul music from the past, present and future to the hearts and minds of a whole generation of Croatians, young and old. Ten years hard work, hundreds of parties, loads and loads of superstar DJ’s, but most importantly, Domu. No, only joking…Mr Ramich. Congratulations to you all! I owe you so much thanks and love for all the times you have looked after me, payed my rent and fed my cat. Please keep it up, as I have to get my kids through College.

My memory of the club is more of an admission.It was at one of the festivals a few yeras ago.It must have been a while as i don’t think yannah was fluent in japanese yet.A bar had been set up at the back of the stage for the artists.Now there was a certain mystery as to how such a large amount of drink (especially yagermeister )could of gone so quickly.Even with two banks of four,phill asher and vanessa freemans birthday it was still alot to get through.So…………… i have to admit now - it was Demus.Thats why the next day he fell off the stage trying to get round the Grand piano.There - i feel better nowю Happy anniversary…. may there be many more …………….Earl Zinger

so there i was. kontrapunkt clubnight, aquarius. the club everybody was talkin about - from new york to toyko, all across the globe. always a bit nervous and curious at the same time when arriving at such legendary clubs the first time. . . so after a nice interview for a magazine i can’t remember i started to go downstairs again and enter the dj booth. all looked very odlschool. like a disco. people were dancin around the dj to cool housebeats selected by the don, eddy ramich. then it was on me to play and well, i tried to stay deep from record one. and what can i say, it all ended deep as well. dancers, listeners, visitors and clubbers are all open minded and although you always need a bang! here and there, its been a real pleasure playin this club. and it’ll be a pleasure to return and play another set there within the next 10 years. thanks to eddy & the crew for educating the crowd by simply playin the good stuff since 10 years now. happy anniversary. ….Michael Ruetten
